Wild Rice

Wild Rice!

delicious...

this took about one hour 40 minutes in the oven at 350
wild rice is 1 cup of rice to 3 cups of water
This was a surprise, the rice was soft, although it looked like it wouldn't be
and it was great, I didn't add anything but a pinch of salt during the cooking
we didn't even have to add butter or soy sauce, like we normally do on rice, we just ate it straight from the oven with our salmon

Salt and light
Jesus said in Matthew 5 that we are salt and light
this morning I was thinking that salt is used to enhance the flavor, not change the dish
how many times have I tried to change someone, when really I have only asked to enhance their life with the Holy Spirit that lives in me...i have to think about this and try my best to NOT ever do it from this point on
Also, light, it lights the path, it is something that is present, but mostly unappreciated and taken for granted.  But it is never harsh.  Light is always useful.  LORD help me not be harsh or think I need to change anyone.
